LEGO Harry Potter Hagrids Hut

LEGO Harry Potter Hagrid’s Hut

Fans of Harry Potter and fans of LEGO will be wild about the LEGO Harry Potter: Hagrid’s Hut 4738. Known for sitting on the outskirts of Hogwarts, Hagrid’s Hut played a pivotal role in the Harry Potter books and movies. It is here that our intrepid, young wizards took tea with the half-giant Hagrid, met the young dragon Norbert, took a hike to meet giant spiders and often eavesdropped on Ministry members.

LEGO Harry Potter: Hagrid’s Hut contains:

– Six LEGO characters: Harry Potter, Hermoine Granger, Ron Weasley, Hagrid, Norbert and Aragog
– Furniture, including: tables and chairs, pots and pans and a stove
– Fireplace that lights up
– Doors that swing and open
– Lattice windows
– Two owls, including Hedwig
– Scabbers, the rat
– Mushrooms and jack-o-lanterns for the yard

LEGO Harry Potter: Hagrid’s Hut swings open for a full-play experience. It measures 28.2 x 48 x 6.1 cm and weighs 776 g. It contains over 442 pieces and is not recommended for smaller children under the age of seven.

LEGO Harry Potter Hagrid’s Hut 4738 makes a great start to a LEGO Harry Potter collection, as you receive six of the main characters in the set. Of course, if you already have a LEGO Harry Potter set, it makes a wonderful addition.

The build is simple, with the hinges being the only difficult part that may require help from Mum or Dad. The instructions are easy to follow, although it can be easy to confuse the grey and black pieces. I enjoyed getting a chance to put this together with my son. I think older children would be able to easily put it together with no help from Mum or Dad.

The light-up fireplace is a smashing success. That is my son’s favourite part of the entire set. The bricks gently glow and give a “homely” atmosphere to the cunning hut.

There are many tiny details in this hut. The desk has secret drawers and compartments, a small cauldron is included to swing over the light-up fire, there are tiny bowls and plates and bottles for placing on the table, and my favourite was the inclusion of Hagrid’s pink umbrella/wand. My son loved the tiny swords and crossbows that hang on the walls.
