Sesame Street Count N Crunch Cookie Monster

Sesame Street Count N Crunch Cookie Monster

Cookie monster is famous for not being able to resist eating cookies, or anything else that he can get his hands on if cookies are not available. Even though he can sometimes seem a little gruff, this clumsy monster is one of the more popular Sesame Street characters. New in 2011, the Count ‘N Crunch Cookie Monster is the first animatronics version of this beloved Sesame Street character.

The Count ‘N Crunch Cookie Monster measures 15.2 centimetres by 30.2 centimetres by 27.6 centimetres and weighs 939 grams. It is a blue plush Cookie Monster wearing a backpack. Cookie Monster comes with three cookies, which children can feed into Cookie Monster’s mouth. As each cookie is inserted, Cookie Monster counts the cookies, makes his famous cookie-munching sounds and the cookie disappears, only to reappear in Cookie Monster’s backpack. Once the three cookies have been counted, Cookie Monster suggests that the child check his backpack to see if there are any more cookies there. Besides counting cookies, this doll also says a few phrases and will giggle and squirm if you press his foot. Just make sure to switch him out of demo mode or he won’t perform all of the tricks he is capable of.

Because this Cookie Monster only comes with three cookies, he only counts to three. He is aimed at children between the ages of 18 months and 4 years old, but the older children may get bored with him after a while due to the limited amount of actions and phrases he is capable of. They may also get tired of having to repeatedly retrieve the cookies out of Cookie Monster’s backpack in order to get him to perform some more. Very young children may have trouble carrying him around because the electronics make him somewhat heavy, and even though Cookie Monster has a plush cover, he is not good for snuggling since the electronics make him relatively hard underneath the plush exterior. That said, most little kids will enjoy making Cookie Monster move, make cookie-gobbling noises and talk, and younger children may learn how to count to three from repeatedly hearing Cookie Monster count.
