Nerf Vortex Nitron

Nerf Vortex Nitron

The Nerf Vortex Nitron is one of the latest products in a long line of Nerf projectile shooters. Perfect for indoor combat zones such as garages and playrooms as well as open-air battlefields such as parks and campgrounds, the Vortex Nitron will definitely satisfy the youthful souls that prefer accurate live ammo to wild bursts of water.

The Nerf Vortex Nitron’s build is solid and sturdy, making it easy to operate and manoeuvre while using two hands. Small green discs are released through the short orange barrel by way of an automatic firing process that Nerf recently invented by utilising battery power. The majority of the gun’s size and weight is a long, cartridge-shaped case that holds the eight total batteries that are needed to power the internal mechanisms.

The Nitron has a wild and versatile appearance, merging the trigger and handle of an old-school cap gun with the mechanics and look of a bazooka. A vibrant neon and camouflage colour scheme makes the gun stand out from many of the more streamlined and visually subdued models.

Purchasing eight batteries is certainly a bit of an investment, but the result is a long and swift flight path that can knock a soda can off a fence from 20 metres away. The discs glide smoothly to the ground, decelerating steadily from their initial speed of about 75 kph. The gun is accurate and consistent on its own, but a small and discreet Centerfire Tech electronic scope takes shooting to a whole new level. Tiny red lights go through a continual sequence of blinking that quickly allows to users to take aim at a faraway target with confidence.

The Nitron measures 22″ long and 13″ high from the bottom of the 2-disc clip to the top of the electronic scope. As is the case with many of Nerf’s disc-firing guns, the clip can easily be taken out and replaced with larger clips from nearly any Nerf Vortex accessory kit that is currently on the market. The Nitron is soon to be released for sale in stores all over the United Kingdom. The suggested retail price for the Nerf Vortex Nitron is just over £20. The Nitron is a very flashy and capable convergence of mechanics, electronics and good old-fashioned Nerf fun.
