LEGO has released a Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (4842) with 1,290 LEGO pieces. When built, the entire castle is almost two feet long and a little more than a foot wide! It comes with nine exclusive characters plus other figures. The castle features the most prominent rooms described in the book including Dumbledore’s office and the Gryffindor common room. There are staircases too, as it is a multi level castle. This castle has incredible detail in both the rooms as well as on the outside with special windows and balconies as seen in Harry Potter imagery like the movies. The concept of this product is the fight between Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, and the dementors that occurs outside the castle. The characters from within would come and fight while protecting Hogwarts.
The Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle has incredible detail. There is the restricted section of the library and the Great Hall decorated with Slytherin and Gryffindor colours. The pieces include Gryffindor’s sword, the sorting hat and a Basilisk fang. There are secret sliding stairs, just like in the book! The Gryffindor fire place shows Sirius Black’s face like in the fifth novel and there is Tom Riddle’s diary as in the second novel. There is amazing detail as in the astronomy tower and the vanishing cabinet. Hogwarts Castle offers magic and mystery play among the rooms of the castle. Children have the ability to pretend they are in the Hogwarts castle and the dementors are surrounding them.
